RSIGuard
Data Sharing Policy & Options

We're glad you've chosen to install RSIGuard — it's a great step towards working more safely on your computer to avoid potential repetitive stress injuries!

If you'd like to review RSIGuard features, you can view this online introduction to RSIGuard.

One of RSIGuard's most important features is the DataLogger. The DataLogger is a tool that gathers information about how you work on your computer to help identify ways that you can work more safely (e.g. taking more frequent breaks). Data includes repetition (e.g. # of mouse clicks), duration (e.g. # hours using keyboard), break patterns (e.g. # rests per hour). The data collection is designed to protect employee privacy, and the data is only available to the Benefits ergonomics staff. If you'd like to read detailed information about the data (and privacy protections), see the DataLogger Detailed Analysis.

The DataLogger is meant to benefit you. Allowing the Benefits ergonomics staff to see your data will help them provide more tailored ergonomics assistance specific to you. The Benefits ergonomic staff will not share your individual data with anyone other than those associated with ergonomics (the vendor ergonomic consultants and Benefits Program Manager) in order to assist you with improving your comfort while working.

Please select one of the following options:

The Benefits ergonomics staff may access my DataLogger data solely for the purpose of identifying ways to help me work more safely and improve my ergonomic setup.

I wish to use RSIGuard, but choose to not allow any access to my individual DataLogger data. The Benefits ergonomic staff will be notified that I have RSIGuard installed but will receive no other information.

Note: If you change your mind, you can update this preference in the future on the RSIGuard Ergo Dashboard
